Mike has over 25 years’ experience as a safety and risk control professional, including over 20 years in the insurance industry at both the carrier and agency level, which included leading two risk control departments. His background also includes seven years as Director of Safety and Educational Services for the Michigan Road Builders Association, and over 25 years serving his community as a paid-on-call firefighter/EMT. Eckert is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM); and a Certified Authority on Workers’ Compensation (CAWC).
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family at his northern Michigan beach cottage and hacking his way around the golf course. He lives in Hartland, MI with his wife Deborah and Golden Retriever mix “Wilbur.”
